Product Description

Nomex, also known as aramid 1313 in China, is an excellent high-temperature and flame-retardant fiber invented and put into use by DuPont in the 1960s. It can maintain about 80% of its original strength at 200 ºC, and can still maintain 65% -70% of its original strength after 100 hours of continuous use at 260 ºC. It forms a barrier between the human body and clothing, reduces heat transfer efficiency, and provides protection against most acids, The stability of alkali is also very good. Due to its outstanding performance and broad market prospects, various countries have conducted research and development on its heat resistance and electrical performance, which are both outstanding. It is widely used in military and electrical industries and is an excellent insulation material in the H-class.

Technical Features:
Wherever electrical insulation is required, NOMEX aromatic polyamide products can usually be seen, which have a unique and appropriate performance balance. For many years, they have been widely used in transformers, motors, generators, and other electrical equipment to improve the reliability of electrical insulation.
The unique performance combination makes NOMEX; The product has excellent characteristics: NOMEX ® It is a synthetic aromatic amide polymer with the following excellent characteristics:

Insulation
Inherent dielectric strength
NOMEX that has undergone calendering treatment; The product can withstand a short-term voltage field strength of 18-40KV/mm, without the need for further treatment with varnish or resin;
Due to NOMEX ® The product has a low dielectric constant, which makes the electric field distribution between insulation and cooling media more uniform;
Mechanical toughness
NOMEX after calendering ® The product has very high strength, elasticity, tear resistance, and wear resistance, while thinner products have flexibility;
thermal stability
NOMEX ® The product is recognized for UL material temperature rating of 220 ° C, indicating that even if continuously placed at 220 ° C, it can maintain effective performance for more than 10 years;
compatibility
NOMEX ® It is not affected by most solvents and is highly resistant to acid and alkali corrosion. It is also compatible with all paints, adhesives, transformer liquids, lubricants, and refrigerants. Additionally, NOMEX; It will not be destroyed by insects, fungi, or fungi;
Low temperature performance
At the boiling point of nitrogen (77K), NOMEX; T410 type insulation paper and NOMEX ® The tensile strength of Type 993994 laminated board exceeds the strength value at room temperature;
Moisture insensitive
NOMEX ® When the product is in a humidity of 95%, its dielectric strength is 90% of that in a completely dry state, and many mechanical properties have actually improved;

Radiation resistance
Even if the intensity of ionizing radiation reaches 800 megaradians (8 megaradians), NOMEX ® The product is also basically not affected, and after 8 doses of radiation, it still maintains its mechanical and electrical properties;
Non toxic/flame resistant
NOMEX ® The product will not produce any known toxic reactions to humans or animals. NOMEX ® The product does not melt in the air and does not support combustion. Moreover, at 220 ° C, its limiting oxygen index (LOI) is greater than 20.8 (the critical combustion value for general air), so it will not burn. NOMEX ® The product meets the fire resistance requirements specified in UL94V-0;

Applications:
filter material
NOMEX fiber has excellent high-temperature resistance, flame retardancy, good spinnability and dimensional stability, and good mechanical properties. It is made into filter bags in industry, which can withstand high temperature flue gas at 200 ºC and instantaneous temperature can reach 250 ºC. It is widely used in high-temperature flue gas dust removal projects at the head and tail of cement rotary kilns.
Flame retardant fabric
The NOMEX3A flame retardant fabric can be made by weaving NOMEX fibers into the fabric, adding 2% anti-static and 5% aramid 1414, which is the best choice for workwear in the petroleum industry
Enhancing Transformer Function to Improve Motor Life and Reliability
NOMEX; The product can have various applications in various types of transformers (including open ventilation dry-type, cast coil type, and liquid filled type): wire winding, layer insulation, segmented and box insulation, winding end filling, partition and bar, etc. In open ventilated dry type (OVDT) transformers, NOMEX ® The product can greatly improve the design of such transformers, reduce electrical losses, improve backup capacity, increase safety and reliability, and reduce the amount of steel used in conductors and iron cores, thereby reducing size and cost. A major advantage of dry-type transformers is that they can be placed inside buildings.
NOMEX ® The product can also improve the performance of liquid filled transformers and reduce the frequency of maintenance. NOMEX ® The universality and singularity of products can help reduce inventory and costs.
NOMEX ® The product is widely used in electric motors and generators, for slot wedge insulation, phase insulation, end laminated plates, etc. To improve the insulation, mechanical properties, safety, and service life of various rotating equipment (such as AC and DC motors, random coils and model coils, and even large steam turbine generators).

What is aramid fabric kevlar yarn?
Aramid Fabirc yarn is a new type of high-tech synthetic fiber with super high strength, high modulus, high temperature resistance, acid and alkali resistance, light weight and other excellent properties. Its strength is 2 to 3 times that of steel wire or glass fiber, and its toughness is steel wire. The weight is only about 1/5 of the steel wire, and it does not decompose or melt at a temperature of 560 degrees. It has good insulation and anti-aging properties, and has a long life cycle.
Kevlar fiber is a high strength organic synthesis fiber material. It has the character of high hardness, high toughness, lightweight and high resistance to abrasion
Kevlar yarn use 100% Kevlar fiber and multi-strands weaving process. This process will improve our lines abrasion resistance ability and it will not easy to be cut.
Whether you are a fishing lover or a stunt kites player, or for outdoor activities and extreme sports, the Kevlar line is always a wonderful choice.

Brief introduction:
What is kevlar twisted yarn?
Kevlar twisted yarn has extremely high tensile strength, exceeding 28 grams per denier, which is 5-6 times that of high-quality steel, with a modulus 2-3 times that of steel or fiberglass, toughness twice that of steel, and weight only 1/5 of steel. The strength and toughness of aramid 1414 also make it extremely difficult to cut and process, requiring expensive specialized tools.
Aramid 1414 has a wide range of continuous use temperatures, allowing for long-term normal operation within the range of -196 ºC to 330 ºC. The shrinkage rate at 150 ºC is 0, and it does not decompose or melt at high temperatures of 560 ºC. Its heat resistance is superior to that of aramid 1313, and it has good insulation and corrosion resistance, with a long life cycle, earning it the reputation of "synthetic steel wire".

Mechanical properties of Kevlar twisted yarn
The strength is 3.6Gpa, the elongation modulus is 131Gpa, and the elongation at break is 2.8% -3.5%. It has extremely high strength, with a weight to weight ratio of 5-6 times that of steel wire, a modulus of 2-3 times that of steel wire or fiberglass, and 7 times that of high-strength nylon. It is recognized as one of the world's sewing threads.

Thermal properties of Kevlar twisted yarn
Long term use temperature: 380 ºC
Axial thermal expansion coefficient: -2 × 10 ^ (-6)/K
Thermal conductivity: 0.048 W (m · K)
It has high stability in temperature performance, not only able to be used for a long time in the temperature range of -196 ºC to 380 ºC without significant changes or losses, but also has non solubility, non combustion (fire resistance), and will only start carbonization at 427 ºC. Even at a low temperature of -196 ºC, it will not become brittle or suffer performance losses. It can also withstand temperature resistance up to 585 ºC for short periods of contact.
